Blair graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2016 and quickly discovered her passion for supporting families through significant transitions. Blair began her career working mostly with adults following stroke, brain injury or spinal cord injury. However, after having her three children, and recovering herself from pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti and low back pain with the support of expert pelvic physiotherapy, she has switched focus and now specializes in pelvic floor physiotherapy. She likes to incorporate her training of the McKenzie Method into her practice and finds success with those she treats.

Blair finds great joy in spending time with her family, particularly exploring the outdoors with her kids. She loves to discuss baby-wearing and breastfeeding, and hopes to return to recreational basketball in the future.

After years as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), my passion for my work continues to grow. Since graduating with Honours in 2012, my practice has evolved from a purely physical approach to a more holistic one that integrates the emotional, mental, physical, and energetic aspects of well-being. I’ve observed how these dimensions are interconnected, both in my clients and in my own body, and how they can affect one another. I am excited to incorporate energy work into our treatments, allowing for a more elevated and integrative experience. My goal is to first acknowledge the physical body’s signals, and then create a safe and supportive space for you to arrive as you are in each moment. I hold certifications in dynamic cupping, which promotes greater tissue flow and release, and have completed Level 2 Usui Reiki, with plans to advance to Reiki Mastery. Additionally, I have undertaken “The Path of the Stonekeepers” training and received the Healer’s Rites, integrating these teachings into every session. These formal trainings, combined with my natural intuitive abilities, enable me to connect with your whole self on a deeper level. By blending physical techniques with energy work, I aim to clear energetic blockages, balance the body’s energy flow, and support emotional healing. My mission is to ensure you feel held, safe, and fully seen in my treatment space.

Growing up I always knew that I wanted to help others, and I truly feel that I am fulfilling that passion with my career. I believe in a holistic approach to treatment and incorporate physiotherapy techniques, postural correction, functional exercise, and education with the goal of restoring function and preventing recurrence. I believe that physiotherapy should be preventative in nature, not just reactive. I love working with clients before or during their pregnancies to help avoid common post-partum concerns. However, I also believe that it is never too late to address these issues that people often suffer from in silence. I strive to empower my clients by educating them on what their body’s optimal function should entail.

I believe my own recent experience with pregnancy and childbirth has bettered me as a practitioner, and I love sharing my journey with patients. Outside of work, I spend most of my time keeping up with my four year old son and one year old daughter. I also enjoy staying active through working out and yoga.

My credentials include:

  • Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta
  • Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University
  • Advanced training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation (some of the conditions I treat include urinary and fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, pre- and post-natal conditions, pelvic pain, and ano-rectal disorders)
  • Acupuncture (AFCI) and Advanced Functional Needling

I was lucky enough to grow up in a house where our dinner conversations consisted of everything Women’s Health. With a Urogynecologist as a dad, I was exposed at an early age to all things pelvic floor, childbirth, and everything in between. I hope to make these conversations and topics just as commonplace and second nature for other women as it was for me, and to reach women who may be suffering in silence. I am passionate about educating and empowering women to take an active role in their health and recovery.

I graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta, and started my career in orthopedic physical therapy. I believe having experience in orthopedics’ is fundamental for any pelvic floor therapist in order to fully appreciate the pelvic floor’s role and influence in many orthopedic injuries and pain. I continue to treat orthopedic injuries, but have always had a special interest in treating the pelvic floor (I guess it runs in the family), and have taken advanced training in the field.

My credentials include:

  • Bachelor of Science from University of Calgary
  • Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from University of Alberta
  • Advanced training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation
  • Biomedical Dry Needling Certification

Growing up I knew I always wanted to work in healthcare. I considered becoming a physician or nurse but didn’t feel like either were quite the right fit. I grew up in a small town and was highly active - playing hockey, volleyball, basketball, etc. and I love working with people and with my hands so physiotherapy was a natural fit.

I have worked in private practice treating general orthopedic injuries since graduating from my Master’s in Physical Therapy. It wasn’t until my first pregnancy that I became passionate about Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. I immersed myself in birth stories, educational podcasts and of course sought additional training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. I love being in a position where I can empower women before, during and after their pregnancies. As a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist I want to help you to have a positive perinatal experience through education, guidance with exercise and any pain management techniques that may be appropriate.

My credentials include: - Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Saskatchewan - Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta - Advanced training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation - Biomedical Dry Needling Certification - Level 3 Manual Therapist with the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists
